Hollywood SC Studios will premiere its first feature length movie “Republic of Pete”, at the Charleston International Film Festival April 9th at 9pm. “Republic of Pete” was one of 7 feature length films to be selected for this year’s Charleston International Film Festival with over 90 feature films being submitted. “Republic of Pete” stars, TV and Film veteran Clarence Felder (The Last Boy Scout, Nightmare on Elm Street), Army Wives’ Richard Bryant as well as TV Judge Akim Anastopoulo (Eye for an Eye).

“Republic of Pete” is a buddy comedy that tells the story of loveable loser protagonist Pete and his friends. Pete’s evil Grandpa gives him $ 80 million in an effort to avoid losing his fortune in a lawsuit. Newly rich Pete and his friends decide to live out their fantasy of a perfect vacation life by buying an island. But evil Grandpa has only one goal: to get his greedy hands back on his money.

Hallmark Channel and Best Friends Animal Society have shaken paws over a new partnership to help raise awareness of the issue of homeless pets in conjunction with Hallmark Channels’ premiere of the original movie You Lucky Dog. The movie, starring Harry Hamlin, Natasha Henstridge and a border collie named Lucky, premieres on Hallmark Channel June 26th with a hopeful and heart-tugging message about rescuing pets and making them a celebrated part of the family.

Best Friends Animal Society, known for its efforts to build a better world through kindness to animals, is working with Hallmark Channel to showcase the movie while championing ”No More Homeless Pets®,” and encouraging pet-lovers everywhere to consider adoption from a shelter or rescue organization when their next pet comes into their lives. Best Friends recently launched an adoption pledge, and the organization hopes that visibility from You Lucky Dog will lead people to think more seriously about pet adoption in the future.

Championship Bull Riding, Inc. (CBR) is headed to RFD-TV and RFD HD, premiering March 5, 2008, when the first of many action packed professional bull riding competitions begin airing on these two national cable and satellite networks.

CBR President and bull riding icon Tuff Hedeman said he is excited about the new television opportunity.

“The CBR produces one of the best professional level bull riding competitions in the country. We match up top-notch bucking bulls with many of the best riders in the sport and then combine that with an entertainment atmosphere that the fans can enjoy,” stated Hedeman, a 4 time world champion. “The ability to air our events on two networks that target the agricultural community and cowboy lifestyle is a perfect match for the CBR,” said Hedeman, a four-time world champion.

Since the association’s inception in 2002, the CBR has been aired in prime time 52 weeks annually on the Outdoor Channel. In fact, the CBR program has been voted the #1 Fan Favorite show on the Outdoor Channel for three (3) consecutive years.

With the move to RFD-TV and RFD HD, the number of CBR’s program hours will expand. On RFD-TV, the CBR will premiere Wednesdays 10pm EST with repeats airing Wednesdays 12pm EST and Saturdays 11am EST. RFD HD airings include Thursday 12am EST, Thursday 10am EST and Saturday 11pm EST. Overall, this will increase the number of original shows from 20 per year to 32 per year, provide over 156 hours of total broadcast time annually and include encore airings. The CBR’s production window will also be shorter now, enabling producers to get the bull riding competition on the air quicker after the live event.
