Euresys Joins HDcctv Alliance to Meet Market Demand for Digital High-Definition Television In Video Surveillance Systems

HDcctv Logo: Look for this logo on HDcctv Alliance products

Sydney, Australia, (PRWEB) September 14, 2010

The HDcctv Alliance™, the global security industry consortium established to manage and promulgate technical standards for HDcctv™ equipment interoperability, announced today that Euresys, a leader in the field of image acquisition and analytics for machine vision systems, has joined the Alliance. Euresys offers a complete range of innovative and high-performance image acquisition sub-systems for high-end video surveillance and industrial machine vision applications, as well as robust and powerful image analysis software tools for industrial machine vision.

“Joining the HDcctv Alliance is in line with our business strategy to incorporate high-definition video into our surveillance products,” said Marc Damhaut, Euresys senior vice president of product management. “Euresys has 20 years experience in the design of video acquisition processing cards and systems for machine vision, medical and video surveillance applications. In the video surveillance market, we focus on mid- to high-end applications that require high-quality, high frame rate, and high-resolution images. We naturally view HDcctv as the next step to moving towards high-definition video.”

“The addition of Euresys to the HDcctv Alliance increases our presence in Europe. Euresys brings a strong engineering pedigree to the Alliance, having participated in the creation of a variety of technically advanced standards,” noted Todd Rockoff, HDcctv Alliance executive director. “Moreover, Euresys manufactures high-end video surveillance equipment, and we look forward to them working in partnership with other Alliance members to deliver video surveillance systems that take best advantage of HDcctv cameras.”

HDcctv cameras are an alternative to CCTV cameras, which offer limited resolution. HDcctv cameras digitally deliver much higher resolution than CCTV cameras, at only a modest price premium, using conventional coaxial cable. HDcctv cameras are also a good alternative to IP video cameras, whose adoption has been impeded by issues of cost, complexity, and the degradation of live video due to its being compressed prior to transmission over IP networks (which also tend to drop packets, further degrading the video). The HDcctv standard enables cameras that deliver HDTV in video surveillance systems to easily interoperate with HDcctv DVRs, HDcctv IP streamers, HDcctv monitors, and other types of HDcctv products. HDcctv interfaces deliver the highest possible signal integrity, without any perceivable latency or image artifacts from transmission-related compression or IP network packet loss.

The HDcctv Alliance has partnered with SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) to leverage the HD-SDI (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) broadcast television standard as the basis for the HDcctv Specification. The HDcctv standard is planned to include a variety of enhancements to HD-SDI that are vital to surveillance, including bi-directional audio and data, up-the-cable power, and Long Reach Mode for 300m transmission over conventional RG-59 cable.

The Alliance is growing rapidly, drawing its international membership from diverse sectors of the security industry, from component, OEM and branded equipment manufacturers, to security sales, support and system installers. Alliance members benefit from access to the complete specification, participation in the standard creation process, and certification of compliant products. Marketing benefits include access to the HDcctv logo as a product brand signifying interoperability, as well as promotions to increase members’ international visibility. Information about the Alliance is available at, and membership registration information can be obtained by emailing membership(at)highdefcctv(dot)org.

Follow the Alliance at HDcctvAlliance on Twitter and join the LinkedIn HDcctv Alliance group for discussions and news.

About HDcctv Alliance

HDcctv Alliance is the non-profit, global consortium that develops and promulgates the global industry specification for high-definition closed-circuit television (HDcctv). The original HDcctv specification is derived from broadcast industry standards for serialized transmission of uncompressed video over coaxial cable. However, HDcctv is being developed to provide for transmission of digital video over various media (including optical fiber and CatX), and the HDcctv standard optimizes the camera interface for video surveillance requirements. The Alliance promotes industry adoption of HDcctv technology, and it provides education to the security industry and end market. The Alliance compliance program facilitates the development of high-quality, readily interoperable HDcctv devices. Products that have earned a certificate to display the HDcctv logo are advertised as having done so by the Alliance. Detailed information about the HDcctv specification is available to Alliance members. Further information is available by visiting the HDcctv Alliance website at

Live tonight at 7:00pm: The American Law Journal 20th Anniversary Television Broadcast on Philadelphia CNN News Affiliate WFMZ-TV

Host and Executive Producer Christopher W. Naughton, Esq.,

Philadelphia, PA (Vocus) September 20, 2010

The OJ Simpson Verdict. 9/11. Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell arguing the Med Mal Crisis. And an Evangelical protest at a Philadelphia Gay Pride Festival. All these events and more, covered on The American Law Journal as they happened.

Tonight live at 7:00 p.m. on the Philadelphia CNN-News affiliate WFMZ-TV 69 (and streaming on the channel’s website), The American Law Journal marks 20 years of legal broadcasting. Tonight’s show is both a look forward and a retrospective that includes key legal events and changes in the practice of law over the last twenty years.

Host attorney Christopher Naughton welcomes the Hon. Edward Cahn of Blank Rome, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli, John Waldron of Huber and Waldron, Donald F. Spry, II, of King Spry, Stephen Sheller of Sheller, P.C., and Steve Bergstein of Engel, Wiener & Bergstein. Video clips include Alan Feldman, Jane Dalton, David Ladov, Anthony Haller, Raymond Williams, Bob Heim, Al Momjian and numerous other judges, politicians, bar presidents and practitioners

“The most memorable event was the night of September 11,” says Naughton. “We had been preparing to produce a criminal law program. Instead I asked my prosecutor and defense attorney guests to stay and go on the air, live, and open up the phone lines. People had been watching the video of those towers coming down again and again and by the evening they were ready to talk about it. We dealt with the emotional issue on everyone’s heart, but also addressed how that day could impact our constitutional rights. I can tell you, I’ve never been more proud of anything else we produced.”

In tandem with the 20th anniversary broadcast, The American Law Journal launches a new website today at The video-intensive site will serve both legal and lay audiences, offering archived webcasts of all programs broadcast in the last year, schedules and an expanded version of the previous site’s Find a Lawyer directory.

The American Law Journal, hosted by former New Jersey prosecutor Christopher Naughton, invites attorneys, judges, elected officials, business leaders and people whose lives have been changed by the legal system to discuss, debate, and inform viewers about consumer, business and Constitutional law. Airing Mondays at 7:00pm on the Philadelphia CNN-News affiliate WFMZ-TV69, the program reaches viewers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and streams live on the channel’s website. WFMZ-TV69 is carried on Comcast, RCN, and Service Electric Cable, FIOS, DirectTV, DISH Network, EchoStar and over the air signals in standard digital and HD. The program is broadcast live in-studio with viewer calls or taped on location at sites including the National Constitution Center and Philadelphia area law schools.

MY GO TV (IDTV Solutions)

Santa Fe Springs, California (PRWEB) October 30, 2010

World’s first portable 3.4” Digital TV launched by Innovative DTV Solutions, Inc. (IDTV); this model comes with technologically advanced AMOLED display.

The output screen of the future, IDTV revolutionizes AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) technology. The 3.4” digital myGOtv is a hand held personal “Pocket TV” that features advanced quality viewing while in motion.

AMOLED displays stack cathode, organic, and anode layers on top of another layer – or substrate – that contains circuitry. The pixels are formed via the deposition of organic material in an unbroken, separate “period” model. AMOLED pixels turn on and off more than three times faster than the speed of conventional motion picture film – making these displays ideal for fluid, full-motion video.

AMOLED technology reduces power consumption and is a key solution to environmental concerns on power usage. The display provide 1.5 times brighter images than conventional LCD displays (particularly under natural light), besides improved contrast ratio and readability. The wide viewing angle, coupled with faster response while moving, the long battery life, and absolutely low power consumption is generating remarkable interest amongst users of all ages.

The key features of this product include: An advanced closed caption digital and analog TV with high reception capability with free off-air DTV and NTSC RF channels (2~69), which is fully ATSC standard compliant.

The 3.4” Digital TV comes with a 480 x 272 digital RGB resolution on a 3.4” 16:9 AMOLED display screen, and includes mpeg2/ATSC 18 output video format. The audio format comes with Dolby digital, multi lingual output and the reception of signals is via an embedded monopole antenna. The AV output is via headphone or in-built speakers. The product comes with an in-built rechargeable li-poly battery and provides a playback time of over two-and-half hours. A DC jack connector (9~24VDC) and an AC adapter & car charger is included in the package.

Additionally, an on-screen program information display with title menus in English and Spanish, providing the user the option to edit and hop channels, besides a direct channel changing (DRF) capacity and a display of real-time signal strength together with an auto channel scan and time zone setting, are a part of the other features. The product also has a modern and stylish design with trendy on-screen menus and is easy-to-use, providing smart power management.

The broadcast can be seen almost anywhere and that too for free. The product is targeted for use outdoors, at events or games, in emergency situations, student dorms, as well as in-home.

The product’s signal reception capability, along with rechargeable Li-poly battery, user-friendly menus and slim design, include some of the most appreciated qualities of the device.

NAC Image Technology Receives Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for their High Speed Camera Systems Enabling HD Super Slow Motion Capture, Recording and Playback

Simi Valley, California (PRWEB) December 7, 2010

NAC Image Technology Inc. is honored to be selected to receive an Emmy award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the 2009/2010 Technical Engineering Awards. The Emmy is awarded for work in “HD Super Slow Motion Systems for acquisition, recording, and playback in Broadcast, Entertainment and Sports Productions.” The award is in recognition of NAC’s innovations in sports broadcasting and further acknowledges leadership position of NAC Image Technology Inc. in the development of super slow motion digital camera systems.

“We are extremely happy to be honored with this award,” said Mr. Kenichi Ueki, President of NAC Image Technology Inc. “NAC has a long history working with super slow motion camera systems, also known as high speed cameras. They’ve played an integral role in NAC’s 50+ years of success in the entertainment industry. We’ve been fortunate to be able work with strong partners like NHK, ARRI Media, and Fletcher Chicago. With their help, NAC’s high speed camera systems have been embraced by broadcasters for live coverage of the World Cup events in Germany and South Africa, the Olympic Games in Beijing and Vancouver, and a variety of prominent professional sporting events.”

“The Memrecam Hi-Motion is the camera that embodies the NAC award-winning technology,” Mr. Ueki added. “This camera was developed in cooperation with NHK and is the first high speed broadcast camera in the world with real HD quality based upon 3-chip technology. Designed specifically for sports broadcasting, the Hi-Motion fits seamlessly into the workflow of sports broadcast environments, requiring no additional operators.”

About NAC Image Technology

NAC Image Technology is committed to advancing the technology for HD Super Slow Motion Systems for use in Broadcast, Entertainment, and Sports Productions. Benefiting from its experience with the Memrecam Hi-Motion, NAC will make use of its know-how by taking the next step in the evolution of this technology. NAC’s high speed camera technology is capable of capturing hundreds of thousands of images per second, but 1000 frames-per-second is optimal for most HDTV super slow motion applications. As a result, NAC product development is focused not on increasing image capture speed but rather on the integration of the high speed camera system with the sports broadcast work flow while optimizing camera light sensitivity.

A sneak peak at the fruits of this development effort is available at NAB 2011 in Las Vegas (booth C7241) when NAC introduces the Memrecam Hi-Motion II.
