All Mobile Video Chooses Telecast Fiber Systems’ CopperHead™ 3200 for HD Tapeless Carrypack System

CopperHead 3200 – Fiber Optic Camera Transceiver

Worcester, MA (PRWEB) March 25, 2010

All Mobile Video (AMV), one of North America’s foremost providers of video and audio production solutions and equipment, has chosen Telecast Fiber Systems’ new CopperHead™ 3200 camera-mounted fiber optic transceiver as a key component in AMV’s HD Tapeless Carrypack production system. AMV will be demonstrating the system in Telecast Fiber’s booth at the 2010 NAB Show, #C8925.

AMV purchased nine CopperHead 3200 units as a part of a significant upgrade of the technologies comprising the HD Tapeless Carrypack. The system brings together best-of-breed products to offer AMV’s customers an advanced HD multiple-camera production system at a more affordable rental price, that can be assembled quickly and easily in a small-footprint production space. The HD Tapeless Carrypack is the AMV’s first system to offer tapeless HD recording capability to solid-state memory cards, using up to eight 1920×1080 Sony PMW-EX3 and/or PMW-350 cameras. Mounted on the back of the cameras, the CopperHead 3200 systems provide a robust fiber optic link between the cameras and the production’s “video village” position via SMPTE hybrid cable.

“The Telecast CopperHead 3200 will be an integral component of our popular HD Tapeless Carrypack system by enabling transmission of return HD video, two-channel comms, two channels of audio, tally, and TDM multiplexing of up to eight cameras. These are all features which add great value to the types of budget-conscious productions for which the HD Tapeless Carrypack was designed,” said Tom D’Angelo, director of rental services for AMV. “With the CopperHead 3200s, we’re able to replicate in a flypack form all of the features and quality our clients have come to expect from our production trucks, in a compact footprint and an affordable price point.”

The CopperHead 3200 is the newest member of Telecast’s CopperHead family of camera-mounted fiber optic transceivers, enabling simultaneous transport of both digital (SDI or HD/SDI) and analog (NTSC or PAL) program video as well as all two-way camera control, audio, video, data, tally/call, and intercom signals between the camera and the base station. Also, the CopperHead 3200 is the first to feature a 10/100 Ethernet path to provide a remote link to laptops and servers. The camera unit mounts directly to the camera’s battery plate (Anton-Bauer, “V”-Mount, or PAG) and provides for a variety of power options. Since the CopperHead 3200 transmits all signals digitally and optically, broadcasters and producers are assured of the highest quality video and audio—free from interference, grounding problems or drifting due to temperature variations.

“AMV is the recognized pioneer of carrypack systems and is well-known for its innovations in comprehensive and yet lightweight production systems that are easy to transport and set up. The HD Tapeless Carrypack is a superb example, and we’re excited that the CopperHead 3200 is playing such a key role,” said Rich Cerny, vice president and chief operating officer at Telecast Fiber Systems. “At NAB, we pride ourselves on being able to demonstrate real-world technology solutions that incorporate our products, and we’re looking forward to partnering with AMV to showcase this powerful solution.”

FIGHT! Media Announces Online Video Distribution Deal With AOL

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 21, 2010

AOL is getting into the FIGHT! business.

FIGHT! Media, publisher of the most popular mixed martial arts publication in the United States, has quickly established itself as a leading innovator in online MMA video content through its popular YouTube channel (

The Atlanta-based company’s already sizable viewership is about to expand dramatically. Today, FIGHT! Media president Donovan Craig announced the completion of a deal with internet giant AOL to distribute FIGHT!’s original video content.

Beginning this month, a selection of FIGHT!’s videos, will begin airing on, a division of FanHouse, AOL’s hugely successful online sports franchise.

FIGHT!’s YouTube channel launched last spring, and has since produced over 250 original videos, which have racked up well over 2 million views. FIGHT’s! content includes pre- and post- fight footage and interviews, lifestyle clips, and its flagship series, “FIGHT! Life,” a monthly, broadcast-quality HD documentary series featuring the best fighters and biggest personalities in MMA, including Anderson Silva, Urijah Faber, Frank Mir, the Diaz Brothers, Bas Rutten, and many others. After debuting last November, the videos are now regularly linked to by numerous MMA blogs and Web sites, including the much-read Cage Potato (, which praised FIGHT! as “striking gold” with the series.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of FIGHT! Magazine, as well as its FIGHT! Life series and other videos, and I think this will be great for both organizations,” said Bryan Tucker, the managing editor of

“We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to expand the FIGHT! brand and increase our online footprint with the help of AOL,” said Craig. “We are extremely grateful for the rapid success of FIGHT! Magazine, and now this deal will help us show everyone how much we’ve developed as a media company. Just like it is with the magazine, our goal is to provide world class content that appeals both to longtime MMA enthusiasts as well as the casual fan. This project with AOL will raise the bar in terms of what fans expect from online video and we couldn’t be happier to have such a great partner. ”

Craig went on to credit Neal Taflinger and Matthew Ross, head of FIGHT!’s internet and video divisions, respectively. Taflinger, an experienced print journalist, has overseen a complete overhaul of FIGHT!’s website and web operations, including its YouTube channel. Ross, a filmmaker and a journalist, has produced and directed the well-reviewed series “FIGHT! Life” in addition to overseeing the company’s entire video division, which produces 20-40 original clips each month.

FIGHT!, a division of Bluff Media, was launched in 2007. Under the guidance of Craig, the company’s founding editor-in-chief FIGHT! is the now the U.S. market leader in the world of mixed martial arts publishing and has twice been voted “Best MMA Magazine” by industry by The Underground, the most popular MMA message board forum on the Internet.

In October 2008, FIGHT! expanded its operations with the creation of FIGHT! Media, a vertically-integrated multimedia outfit, and appointed Craig as president. Recent developments include an aggressive Internet strategy, a new video division, as well as a number of radio, TV, and film projects currently in development that will be announced later this year.

FanHouse is one of the top sports destinations on the Web,, FanHouse’s MMA vertical channel, has quickly established itself as one of the premier MMA websites. is comprised of a star-studded team of Ariel Helwani, Mike Chiappetta, Ben Fowlkes, Michael David Smith and others. Its videos have already become a formidable presence in the online martial arts community thanks to their expansive video coverage of notable MMA events. Given that FIGHT! also has its own event coverage videos, FanHouse will most likely focus on broadcasting (and rebroadcasting) “FIGHT! Life” and FIGHT!’s MMA lifestyle clips as well as a large library of MMA technique and fitness videos that will be unveiled this summer on AOL FanHouse.

FIGHT! has also begun production on a new gym profile series, “FIGHT! School”, which is being produced in conjunction with AOL subsidiary StudioNow, an online-video production company that specializes in providing media outlets with production support and local crews for shoots anywhere in the U.S. The first episode of “FIGHT School” will debut on FanHouse and YouTube later this month.

New video editing effects: The new “chroma key” effect enables users to substitute the background with any picture; just shoot the video in front of a blue or green backdrop, as TV studios do. Horizontal and vertical mirrors can be used to create a mirror image of a video clip, or flip a clip upside down or reverse each frame in a clip from left to right; t clip will still play forward.
Refined video editing: Movavi Video Suite 9 offers more precise positioning of the timeline marker, one-click show/hide tracks option, and quick splitting tools to split all the clips on the timeline in two parts. The newly-created tracks appear at the top of the timeline track bar and can be accessed quickly and easily. Users can also change the size of the timeline clip thumbnails to prevent eyestrain.
HD video fast track: When adding HD video, Movavi Video Suite 9 generates a special smaller video file so that editing is faster and smoother because users are not working with the oversized original video file.

Movavi Video Converter 10 is available in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, and Russian.

The HDcctv Alliance standards enable interoperable plug-and-play high definition (HD) security systems with the highest possible signal integrity, without any perceivable latency or image artifacts from transmission-related compression.

“TEB joined the HDcctv Alliance because we believe in applying HD technology to CCTV applications so our customers can benefit from the high-resolution, quality images HD offers,” said Matthieu Thaller, TEB marketing director. “Working with the Alliance, we can help our customers understand this new technology and establish credibility for HD in the CCTV market. The image is the most important component of our business, and to that end we invest in and support technologies that improve video quality and create more efficient systems for the end-user. Our participation in the HDcctv Alliance allows us do this.”

“The HDcctv Alliance provides us with interoperability specifications and SMPTE-derived HD standards as they apply to the video surveillance market. We can use those specifications and standards to design and develop a complete range of HDcctv-compliant products for our global customers,” continued Thaller. “TEB plans to deliver HDcctv-compliant PTZ, static, and dome cameras and DVR management software.”

The HDcctv Alliance has partnered with SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) to leverage the HD-SDI (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) broadcast television standard as the basis for the HDcctv Specification. HDcctv includes a variety of enhancements to HD-SDI that are vital to surveillance, including bi-directional audio and data, up-the-cable power, and Long Reach Mode for 300m transmission over conventional RG-59 cable.

“TEB has carved out a unique place in the market by developing innovative products in response to their customers’ specific requirements,” said Todd Rockoff, HDcctv Alliance executive director. “We look forward to TEB bringing its end-user-oriented perspective to the development of the HDcctv standard, broadening the product options available to end users that want to take advantage of HDcctv camera connection technology.”

The Alliance is rapidly growing, drawing its international membership from diverse sectors of the security industry, from component, OEM and branded equipment manufacturers, to security sales, support and system installers. Alliance members benefit from access to the complete specification, participation in the standard creation process, and certification of compliant products. Marketing benefits include HDcctv logo product branding to signify interoperability and promotions to increase members’ international visibility. Membership registration is available at
